Studio re-opening procedures and guidelines
Our studio will open on Sunday 26th July! We will be open for classes and pole hire however with limited numbers in accordance with social distancing. This will mean that opportunities to access classes and pole hire will be limited and we advise to book early in order to secure your place. For the same reasons our cancellation policy will be strict at no later than 8pm the evening before class in order to allow other students to book should your booking no longer be required. Our aim will be to maximise the time available to run as many classes and pole hire sessions as practically possible in a safe and Covid secure way. Our poles are between 1 and 2 meters apart however we take into consideration movement around the poles as well as the number of people using the studio at one time and therefore making social distancing manageable in order to keep our students and staff safe at all times. Our maximum limitations will be as follows;
Downstairs studio – classes and pole hire, 6 students
Upstairs studio – classes and pole hire, 5 students
Therefore in order to provide as many opportunities as possible for students to use the studio we will only be running 60 minute classes which will open up more space in the schedule to run more classes and pole hire sessions. We aim to run up to 50 classes and 50 pole hire sessions a week available throughout the day. Our 60 minute classes will be £16 each. We will also continue to run our regular online classes as a permanent service.
Health and Safety – Studio Rules
Our primary aim is to ensure all our staff and students feel safe and that we are doing everything we can to limit the risk of a Covid-19 infection spread. We are therefore setting out the following non-negotiable studio procedures and rules which ALL students and staff must abide to.
- Do not come to the studio if you are unwell regardless of your symptoms.
- If you have returned to the UK from any of the countries outside of the UK’s exempt list you must quarantine for 14 days before coming to the studio (to be reviewed daily in line with government guidelines and relaxed accordingly, info can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-countries-and-territories-exempt-from-advice-against-all-but-essential-international-travel ) .
- If travelling by public transport to come to the studio you must wear a mask on all forms of transport.
- For your own piece of mind it is advised that you bring your own hand sanitizer and wipes to the studio.
- DO NOT COME TO THE STUDIO IF YOU HAVEN’T BOOKED.
- Do not enter the studio earlier than 15 minutes before your session; if you arrive early we kindly ask you to wait outside until the students before you have left the premises. After your class/pole hire has finished you must leave the studio as soon as possible allowing the next group to have access ensuring social distancing is maintained.
- There will be 15 minute intervals between all classes and Pole Hire to enable cleaning and students vacating the studio.
- When entering the studio you must sanitize your hands immediately using the gel provided by the dispenser on the wall. Your shoes must be taken off and left on the shoe rack in the coat cupboard and NOT on the floor by the stairs.
- The notice board will indicate which classes are taking place in each studio, you must go directly to the studio which your class/pole hire is being taken and you should stay in that studio where you will change and prepare for your class (using the toilet facilities where necessary). Your belongings will stay in the studio where your session is taking place. You should bring a bag to keep your belongings in and your clothes must not be scattered around the studio. You must not go upstairs if your class is downstairs and vice versa. If there is an urgent matter you must inform the member of staff present.
- You must wash your hands before using the poles and other equipment.
- The studio will not be providing sweat towels; we have installed paper hand towel dispensers to both toilets.
- When using equipment you should use our Sani-Cloth wipes provided effective against all bacteria and Coronavirus. You must wipe down all the equipment you have used when you have finished using them. Feel free to bring your own Yoga mat. Toilets must be wiped down after every use by the user.
- Please respect others at all times and ensure social distancing is maintained. Physical contact such as hugging, kissing and hand shaking are prohibited at all times. Our staff and teachers will go through relevant steps regarding maintaining social distancing during classes.
- There will be no spotting.
- There will be no equipment sharing – only one person per apparatus.
These measures are temporary and will be reviewed on a weekly basis along with government guidelines. We hope to be back to full capacity when the pandemic has been resolved. We kindly ask you to respect these measures as they are for the benefit of everyone and to ensure that our studio can remain open whilst keeping everyone safe. If anyone feels that we have missed out any important measures please do not hesitate to inform us and we will do our best to accommodate that.
We thank you for your continued support through such challenging times and we look forward to welcoming you back to the studio in good health.
