Magda Smolinska

Magda’s passion for sports dates back to her time competing in gymnastics as a child. Trying out pole dancing seemed like a natural step. She first fell in love with the sport training at the Pole Dance Institute in Vienna and she rediscovered pole when she moved to London.

Magda qualified as a pole dance instructor of all levels in Poland, training under the talented eye of Edyta Borchowiec in 2016. She has since competed in multiple pole finals (IPAAT, Pole Theatre UK, Heir To The Chrome) in doubles category with fellow pole dancer Jackie. Zaki Musa

Zaki is a multi-disciplinary circus artist pulling from a wide background of movement and disciplines both on the ground and in the air. Starting his training in ballet at a late age, he moved on to explore and develop in other different dance styles and functional movement training, before taking all the skills he’s learnt into the air as a pole and aerial performer, choreographer and coach across the world.

Zaki is adept at a wide range of aerial disciplines, but primarily performs on the Flying Pole, Hoop, Silks and Dance Trapeze (with a big spin of course!). His movement work focuses on developing good core, technique and form, with flow and a performing flair.

He is the 2019 Professional Open Champion of the UK Aerial Performance Championships in Flying Pole, and the 2019 Regional Champion in the Professional Open category on Hoop. However, his biggest moment was performing live for Tsar B in concert in Belgium, but has also most recently worked with companies such as Bassline Circus, Upswing Aerial, Mariah & Friendz, and performed across London cabaret and theatre venues, from the Roundhouse to Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! Everyone has to start somewhere. We have classes tailored specifically for beginners and our teachers are highly trained and experienced in making sure you will feel safe starting out your new journey in Pole with us.

Ideally you need to have skin contact on pole so less is better and anything like hot pants, Thong, sports shorts (tight), sports bra is ideal and tight leggings can also work for choreo classes. There are also some awesome Pole wear lines available on the market. However nothing loose or baggy!

Everyone is different. Usually if you have a dance, ballet or gymnastics background you might move up the levels quicker. Some take months and some take years but it’s all about the journey and how dedicated and committed you are to the sport. Pole is not an easy discipline but one things for sure, you will learn a lot about yourself and find strength and confidence you never thought you had.
